2004
was an exceptionally busy year for the project winning
an award from The
Queens Golden Jubilee Award for voluntary service.
The Birmingham
Civic Society has through the HELP project, awarded
Handsworth Wood Girls
school a commendation certificate for working within
the allotment with SOB committee members, coordinators,
local volunteers and the SEED programme funded link
worker, Ms. Claire Thomas, who has been very devoted
and committed throughout the year.
